About the Quill Project

Located in Overbrook, a neighbourhood that still shows its characteristic wartime housing roots is community driven with large school developments and local parks. Our project respected the predominant 1 and ½ story landscape while creating a new modern look for the semi-detached project.

Responding to the predominant compact homes in the immediate vicinity, the mirroring of the units in the semi, and its modern flat roof expanses enhance its strong presence in the streetscape.

A strong façade is created around a central axial pillar and shared veranda between the two dwellings. A variety of materials used in the exterior animates the designed space within, while using deep terraced windows to further allow natural light within the lower level.
